  • I am located in Santa Rosa, Ca. I am a licensed therapist in both California and Washington State so I am able to provide Somatic Psychotherapy to people online who live throughout California and Washington.

  • Therapy with me is based in Santa Rosa, Ca but can happen 100% online. Our sessions take place using a secure, HIPAA-compliant Zoom platform that allows you to do therapy from the comfort of your own space.

All you need for online therapy is:

    1) A space that is private without interruption for the length of a session

    2) Some form of device with a camera such as a desktop computer, laptop, tablet or phone

    3) Reliable wifi

    4) The Zoom App downloaded on your device

  • Yes. I provide in-person sessions at my office in Santa Rosa, California.

  • I charge $200 for a 60-minute therapy session.

A credit card can be on file in your client portal on a HIPAA-compliant Electronic Health Record for streamlined payment.

I do reserve some slots in my schedule for a reduced fee so please inquire if necessary.

  • I am considered an out-of network provider which means I am not on any insurance panels and do not deal directly with insurance.

Therapy with an out-of-network provider may be covered in full or in part by your Health Insurance, Employee Benefits Plan or ESA. In which case I can provide you with a super bill which you would submit for reimbursement.

Please note that if you decide to get reimbursement your Insurance company will require your treatment to be “medically necessary”. This means that a Mental Health Diagnosis will be assigned to you which will go into your permanent medical records.

Throughout the course of therapy the Insurance company can and does ask for ongoing information so there is no way to protect your privacy and confidentiality.

If you still would would like to inquire about reimbursement please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions (when you call your insurance provider ask the Mental Health Department):

    1) Do I have mental health insurance benefits for an out-of-network provider?

    2) What is my deductible and has it been met?

    3) What percentage of the fee do you cover (how much will I be reimbursed)?

    4) How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

    5) Is Approval required from my primary care physician?

    6) Is Telehealth therapy covered?

  • The first session sets the tone for the therapy process and lays down the foundation and structure of our collaboration together.

We will go over paperwork that you will have already filled out online in your client portal on an Electronic Health Record.

I will ask you questions about your current challenges and struggles and ways that you have found to cope. I will also ask you about your interests and strengths. We will discuss your hopes and goals for our work together.

We will go over Policies and Procedures as well as limits of Confidentiality within Therapy.

I will answer any questions that you may have about the therapy process including the methods and modalities that we will be integrating into our work together.

  • Somatic Psychotherapy and NeuroMovement® are both body-mind modalities that work with the nervous system and movement.

NeuroMovement® sessions with me are in-person and include hands-on touch. The focus of these sessions is on helping someone organize their movement more functionally to overcome chronic physical pain, help with the aging process, and improve athletic performance.

Somatic Psychotherapy sessions with me are geared more towards someone who is feeling stuck from psycho-emotional struggles. I include movements and principles from NeuroMovement® and there is an overlap between the two modalities but the process and focus is different.

Somatic sessions can occur either online or in-person for locals. To enter into a Somatic Psychotherapy process I ask people to make a weekly commitment for at least 2-3 months.
